There’s a lot of Kimonomachi (Kimono Town, it’s a kimono shop that is on both Japanese Rakuten & Rakuten Global Market, the international version of Rakuten) stuff on this list and deservedly so if you ask me…they’ve got a lot of stuff that appeals to many age groups, to Western & Eastern sensibilities, a nice mix of retro/traditional & modern and most importantly some affordable prices (unlike Mamechiyo Modern or Fuuga or even Kururi). I have different things I’ve bought from Kimonomachi that I would put on my Best of 2013 list than what kimononagoya picked but I think we would both agree that Kimonomachi is a wafuku stule leader that real women (and men) actually buy wafuku (Japanese clothing) from and WEAR OUT IN PUBLIC.
The only thing on this list I’d buy for myself is the moon obi to pair with plainer kimono (denim, cotton, subdued komons) I already have though.
Interesting list though.
